I don't want to get into a debate in a "opinions rule" area, but in the professional audio world Bose just does not exist (despite many tries to enter) because it just isn't really very good. They are known for altering the signal to "trick" the listner into thinking it sounds good...at least for a short duration, or to non-critical listeners. Two very common phrases: "No highs, no lows, its Bose", and the very true (IMO) "Better sound through marketing". Nobody in audio spends on advertising like Bose. Not even close. There's a reason.
Buy what sounds good to you...don't just pay a lot for a nameplate.
