Box Near Toilet???? What is it?
Does anyone know what is under this box? The wires shown on top of the box go into the wall, nothing (wires, pipes, etc.) are coming out of the box.
Thanks,
Steve

If the box is what the toilet is setting on its to off set the toilet flange toilet sets on to feed pipe onto the holding tank.
The wiring normally is at the rear of toilet bowl so its hidden from view.

We do not have that on our 2004 MADP 4016. We have a larger built-in tiled platform that the toilet sits on. Does that "box" exist on the other side of the toilet? Maybe it encloses the water line, though the water line on our coach comes in behind the toilet.

Doesn't appear that the box is a platform that toilet sit on...just a carpeted box
What's underneath??
Could be a controller...wires going down thru floor
Could be a cover for piping connection that stuck above floor level
Could be a box to cover up a mistake
Removal of the box would be definitive......

Thanks guys, answers to questions.
* There is nothing coming out of the box.
* The box is only on one side of the toilet.
* The water pipe and electric comes in from behind the toilet.
* The toilet does not sit on or touch this box.

A 3/8" drill bit and a borescope?
That box is familiar - I think I've seen similar things in other brands and models. My guess is it's some kind of plumbing or electrical chase. What's on the other side of the bathroom wall?

Prolly held down by a screw. Feel for it and unscrew it and pull the box up. Then you'll know for sure. Are you the original owner? If not, previous owner may have had an electric or heated bidet seat?

Maybe it is to provide clearance for the black tank vent pipe. Is there a pipe chase adjacent to it? No idea what the wires might be for.

You might look in the bay under the bathroom and see what goes up through the floor in that area. They don't put boxes in unnecessarily and typically have electrical or plumbing in them.

I just looked into the bay under the bathroom. Nothing seems to be going through the floor in the area.
The wires are for the electric toilet, they are showing because I put them up out of the way while I was replacing the silicone caulk around the floor perimeter. While caulking is when I got to wondering about the box, which is in my way.
I plan to remove the box tomorrow as I want to let the caulk set for at least 24 hours before disturbing the caulked area.
Thanks to all that replied.

It is a 10 minute job to remove the toilet if you need more room. Plus, that is a good opportunity to replace the floor seal.

I just removed my washer to have repaired (in closet right behind toilet). The washer drain pipe and water lines go through the wall into that box then down in to the basement. Did you get the cover off. I would like to access that area to install a drain from a washer drain pan to eliminate the possibility of another overflow on the floor,
