Could anyone advise as to how the MADP roof compares to the full one piece fiberglass roof as used on Winnebago and Monaco? Does it tear, snag, stain easily, ok to walk on, etc.
Need replies fairly quickly. Thanks for y'alls help in this.

Orderd my 05 KSDP with Bright Tek,after 3.5 years of outside storage,no problems.Full fiberglass was a high $$$ option. You can walk on it,cleans easy,it may tear if you hit some solid branches, but can be repaired. Full fiberglass was an option on the MADA also.
I would buy Bright Tek again.

The Brite Tek roof that Newmar uses is not a problem.
It is quite serviceable, and we rarely hear of problems.

My signature coach has a Brite Tek roof. Bought the coach new and after 2 1/2 years I have no problems. The coach is stored outside. It is in the hot Florida sun for many months of the year.

We had Bright Tek on our last MA fifth wheel that we had for 7 years. Always was outside. Never had a problem with it. We opted for the Fiberglass on our new KA this time. The main reason was becuase it would be easier to clean.
Good luck,
Shaun and Amy

Sounds good that several say it has caused no problems. Shaun mentioned that it would be easier to clean and that was one of the points I was concerned about. Had the rubber roof and did not like that at all.

The Brite Tek roof is vastly superior to the old rubber roof.

Hi! Just a note, from 2007 and up the MADP comes standard with a one piece fiberglass roof. Paul

Hi Fred,
Couldn't you just use Marine (Boat) polish with a buffer? There's a little more bite in boat polish that I would think clean it and bring back some of the gloss.

Not only is Brite-Tek easier to clean and keep clean but it also will not streak(black streaks on the rubber roofs and white streaks on the fiberglas roofs)!

When you are cleaning your roof there are some other things to look for after roof cleaning.
