I clean mine with 409, it doesn't make it bright white, but will clean it. I don't think I would use mineral spirits or paint thinner on it. JMO

You can use Dawn, Turtle wax car cleaner or Maguire's car cleaner, the car cleaners will shine the Brite Tek up real nice and clean.
The Dawn will get off any dark spots from tree sap or leaves.
No harsh chemicals ever.

Seems to me I read to not use anything with petroleum/hydrocarbons on the roof.

Newmar used to recommend "Murphy's Oil Soap" for the BriteTek. That's pretty much all I ever used except for some stubborn areas where I used Simple Green and rinsed very thoroughly. After 13 years it still looked pretty good and I could have made it look new if I wanted to take the time. Also got down on my hands and knees to do it, that gave me a good look at all the Dicor close up.

ZEP on a BriteTek roof? I'm not sure that's a good idea although BriteTek is a TPO and not rubber so it might be OK or then again, maybe not! Time will tell I guess.
The June 2015 Motorhome magazine has a story on cleaning fiberglass roofs.
I might be tempted to us ZEP on the Magna's fiberglass roof though.

Hello Mr D, I corrected my post above, my roof is fiberglass.........slight amount of chalking starting is the reason I applied the Zep, after studying up on it and its results.
For some reason I was thinking Newmar called their fiberglass roofs Brite tek? Thanks!

For what it's worth, I cleaned the whole of my old 2006 Cross Country with Barkeepers Friend, and then applied 5 coats of Zep. It was amazing the difference it made - even on the old graphics.
It made the bus much easier to clean. But don't use distillates on it. It will come right off. Found that out when I sprayed on engine cleaner to get the bugs off the front after a messy trip.
But I just put on more coats of Zep, and back to normal. For 31 bucks for a gallon, I've still got over 1/2 a gallon left. It still looked great when we traded it in on the Ventana.

OK, that makes more sense now.
