Broken MCD remote update.

Our MCD remote for the front shades fell and hit the tile floor. The screen went blank but it still worked. After numerous tries to contact MCD they called me back and I got a new remote. I discovered to program the new remote would require removing some of the valances and some of the cabinets. I called MCD again and after several weeks I finally got a call back from Bill Harrington of MCD. I couldn't be happier with the way I was treated. I explained my problem to him and he said he would call me back. He had his people figure out how to transfer the settings from the old remote to the new one without reprogramming each shade. I followed the instructions he sent and it took about 15 min. He said that he would be sending the instructions to Newmar so they could put it on Newgle. I was very disappointed with the time frame it took me to talk with someone at MCD, but after I did I was very impressed. Bill

That is great news Bill! That will be awesome and save lots of time next time I have an MDC remote control failure.

I have had to replace both of my MCD remotes because the screen failed. Like yours, they still worked, but you couldnít tell which channel they were on. MCD did replace them both, but I was told I had to reprogram them myself or go to a dealer. I did it myself, it wasnít too hard, but it does take time. I look forward to downloading the new info to transfer the programming!
