Just purchased a 24 essex 4551, anyone had cockpit related abnormal flex squeaks and major rattle behind driver seat,, lubed all areas of slide and front cabinets, this is my 9th coach but first newmar, all others were entegra and never had such noisy rattles and squeaks before:.any info would be appreciated. Thanks RBK

thanks for the reply,, i am taking it back to dealer after first of year due to being in winter storage but i always try to resolve most problems myself and waiting on some other warranty parts to come in as well,, but thanks anyway RK

There are pucks that helps guide the slide in and its rubbing, happened to ours. When the slide is in if you look behind the drivers seat where the slide meets the floor you will see it. The easiest thing is to lubricate the metal strip that the puck rides on when the slide is fully out.

Both our Essex and are current LA had numerous rattles in the front drivers area. Bought a package of rubber and plastic sticker and each time we would go out we would find a rattle on a door or other locations and just started getting them to stop by putting the small rubber stickers where they needed to be to stop the noise. The door has been the hardest to quite down. After many trips have the rattles down by 80 to 90 percent. No quick one and done. Do check what might be rattling in cabinets and drawers. We were willing to spent a lot of time to get most of the unwanted noise. Used a truck tire stick to push on items to see if that stopped the noise. Might take you numerous trips to get it quite. Just like a oil leak willing to spent a lot of time to fix the problem.

thanks to everyone who replied back.. did discover last night that the hard plastic bumber slide protector was bouncing off the tile causing the knock noise while driving but the cab boise is so severe i think it could be a chassis problem,, lubed everything i could think of ,relocated the pillar post covers due to rubbing against windshield,but no success, going to the dealer next month thanks all happy holidays RK
