We road into Camp Newmar with a list of items that should have taken 4/5 days to complete but because of other committments could only give the 2 days. These people worked on the coach 9 hrs. Thursday and 10 hrs. Friday. Yep she is ship shape. Gene and his crew certianly went the extra mile to get us ready to go. Thats why we love Newmar and highly recc. them to any prop. buyer. Maybe production will listen to warranty about the junk that comes out and we can get production to give us quality out of the box. Dr Mark sorry I didn't get email till this AM. Maybe next time. Aubie, I'm overjoyed as always to hear that Ken Miller and his crew are still doing the job in service there at Newmar.
Gene is a super individual and is one of the many great techs that work in high line service under Ken's supervision.

I hope you and the wife can now get on the road and enjoy that brand spanking new '08 MADP!!

I'm presently at the Region 5 Rally in GA but will head toward Nappanee on Monday.

That's OK Aubie - safe travels.

I wish I could say the same thing about the "preferred line" service. Next time I'll demand high-line. I don't care what Louise says, there is a monumental difference in attitude, communication, & accessibility between high-line and low-line.

Bob - we'll still be here when you arrive - give us a holler. Irv Kaufman's wife's parent is in hospice right now and the family has been called in so we haven't been able to get to see him. Hope this doesn't alter your schedule. You might want to check with Irv.

Mark, thanks for the heads up,but with Barney and Barbara here I was aware of the issues with Vicky's father...We're all praying for Vicky and her family at this trying time.
Ashley is going to check with Irv over the weekend and I may try and do Newmar first, then Irv as a result...

I will discuss my feelings IRT your situation when we see each other in Nappanee.

Speaking of "service" maybe its time that the Highline and Repair Center get together and show the build people the problems that are coming out of production line. Just pushing coachs thru at the pace they do is costing the whole Newmar family time and money that could be used for other purposes.
I have always been treated top notch from the normal Repair Center but flustration from constant repeated same problems maybe wearing them down.

After our visit to Newmar this last spring, I was at first impressed with the speed/hustle in the production line. After more reflection, I also had the feeling they needed to slow down. Getting something done as fast as you can, isn't always what's best for QC. I didn't see much QC supervision and maybe if they had to go back and redo, they might get it right the first time. Somehow if the production people had to go to the end of the line and fix things on their own time, the results would be different.

Sending "Positive Prayers" to the Kaufman family..and luck to everyone else involved in the other matters...
...Just remember that "family" is always supposed to be 'key' in the RV lifestyle ...so hopefully whatever the Kaufman family is having to go through is on the "Newmar" family as it is in you...
...may the prayers be with you, Irv & family..
