Canyon Star

We took possession of a 2017 Canyon Star at the beginning of September.

Heading south in a few weeks.....

Does anyone know if the late models of Canyon Star have a heater vent in the wet bay/tank area, for when the Furnance is on?

The motor home does not have tank heater pads.

Weather here in Central Indiana normally does not get totally frozen until January/February. Normally above freezing temps during the day, low 30s, upper 20s at night thru December....

If I can get away with not winterizing - I'd like that option.....otherwise.......I'll "Git-R-Done!"

Thanks in advance for your info and help.....

Glenn

Hi Glenn, yes, your wet bay has a vent aimed at it working only from the gas furnace. I live in central Indiana too and know that anything can happen starting in November. Things have to stay below freezing for several hours before worrying, but I hate to worry. I run pink through it since it only takes .5 hr and $10. I would just disconnect the fridge water line(s) and let gravity drain them. If you keep it plugged in, the ice maker and water solenoids are wrapped in heating tape.

Welcome Glenn to the forum.
Congratulation on your Newmar and welcome to the Newmar family.
In this link info on winterizing and winter travel and camping if you want to do that.
As long as you have your heater on the tanks will be fine and your plumbing most of it is in the insulated floor. We have camped and traveled in 1* temp's at Newmar and traveled to FL. from there.
Below in my signature you will see links to many others that can be used for your Newmar.
In QT's # 3 you will find a section pertaining just to you CS with threads by fellow owners for Mods and their upgrades they have added.
Enjoy your trip and enjoy the MH and have many safe travels ahead.
