Canyon Star Couch with fold out bed removal

Has anyone out there had experience with removing the fold out bed and couch from their motor home. Can the couch/bed be disassembled?. Our idea is to replace the couch/bed with a recliner chair to free up some space. our unit is a 2011 3810 Canyon Star gas model.

I could be wrong but I think you have to take it out by removing your big window on the slide and then passing it through the hole. We have a Canyon Star 3610 and thats how they said they would do it if we wanted a different couch.

We have a 2013 Canyon Star 3911 & removed the couch & replaced it with a recliner. We also removed the dinette & replaced it with another recliner. The couch comes apart by removing bolts. Unbolt from floor. Arms come off. Remove bed assembly. Take EXTREME CAUTION by tying up or otherwise securing bed assembly to prevent it from pinching/cutting off fingers! Since the 3911 has a large door for handicap accessibility, getting the couch out of motorhome was relatively easy. In your case, you'll meed to figure out how to get it out the door & get your recliner (some models have removable backs) in the motorhome! Good luck.

It was actually quite easy. Took just under an hour. Once we removed all the pieces of the Couch, no problem getting them out through our door. The back rest of the incliner comes off so that was easy getting it into the Motor Home. All is done, more space and comfort. Thanks for all your suggestions.
