Canyon star fuse block

I have a few electrical items in my 2012 Canyon Star that don't work. Bathroom Fan, cigarette lighter, and most importantly, the thermostat. I think its a blown fuse but can't find anything that shows me which fuses control what. I'm talking about the fuse block by the driver's left leg. Can anyone help?

Look in the RV fuse panel in the bedroom on the back wall (that's where my coach fuse panel is on my 2013 CS. ) for the bathroom fan & the thermostat circuit breakers. You'll need to pull the velcroed panel. The cigarette lighter will not be at that location. It's an entirely different issue.

Call Newmar Customer support if you can't find out what's wrong. They will help.

My Bay Star has 3 12 volt fuse blocks and the Canyon Star probably the same. I had to replace a 20 Amp fuse at the top of the fuses on the left of the steering wheel; it's difficult to reach. There are 12 volt fuses near the 120 volt panel in the bathroom cabinet, and fuses under the hood in the upper right BIRD box. Does the thermostat light up and show the inside and outside temperatures? If so it is getting 12 volt power and furnace or AC problems will require more extensive trouble shooting. The fan motor is small and if it will not spin after turning on the switch and manually spinning it with your finger it may need replacement. I replaced the OEM fans with Fan-tastic fans with a remote remote controller so I have to keep the power switched on and fresh batteries in the controllers.

My 2015 Bay Star thermostat doesnt have any power to it. The fuses in the bathroom all check out fine. In the morning I will look around the steering wheel for more. Thanks for the info.

I would check your inverter and determine whether your inverter needs to be reset. There is a fuse panel on my CS under the steering wheel next to the wall. Not sure what is on that.

Thunderstrok, you might check one other thing regarding the ceiling fan. On my 2012 Canyon Star I had the same thing occur as you........I took the shroud off and discovered one of the wires to the fan motor had come disconnected at the wire nut. This most likely happened due to road vibration.

Once the shroud is down, you'll find the wires tucked in the void between the ceiling material and roof insulation. It's a gap of about an inch.

Best regards,
W.D.
