Canyon Star Living Room Slideout

When we bring in the living room slide, which is above the floor level when in the travel position, the slide motor stops two or three times, until the slide climbs up from the lower position. Then it comes in smoothly all the way in. So, it seems to be torquing out with the increased load of coming back up from the extended position. The motor controller adjustment seems to be all the way clockwise. I was wondering if anyone else who had a slide that drops down into position when it is extended, is having a similar problem.

Thanks,
Rick

We did on the '02 DSDP. Finally found that some reinforcing a dealer had later added was catching on the carpet. Beveled the edge of the added plywood and that seemed to cure the problem (one week before we traded it off on the present rig).
Probably not much help for you though.

We had the same issue about 6 months after using ours. It was the slide power controller that needed a slight adjustment and has never done it again. Are you sure you adjusted the right slide controller/ and or is it really as far as it can go. On ours they are right next to each other, mounted on the wall in a passenger side storage bay. It was only a slight adjustment needed, maybe only an 1/8 of a turn at most. To my knowledge it should not be adjusted out for full power as it could damage the motor, or slide if brought in with too much power. If you adjusted the controller with no improvement I would try adjusting the other one( or two if you have three slides). If you find that works then I would go back and re-adjust the controller that you originally adjusted so it is not on full power.

Thanks Mike.
The slide controller was already in the position that I found it in. I have not adjusted it yet. Maybe, the small screw turns harder than I thought. I tried very gently to turn it with a small screw driver and did not notice any movement. I might need to try this again.
