Canyon star vs all star- want a garage

Hello all. We would really love to have a garage for our unit and research has shown that our choices within newmar are the 2008 mid engine DP (a few different models) or the newer gas powered canyon star 3927 or 3921.
I'm a little worried about such a long and heavy gas rig, but also apprehensive about buying an older and discontinued model given our limited resources in Alaska.
I was really hoping you guys could weigh in with your thoughts. Thank you in advance.

The 2021 Canyon Star will be front-engine diesel, and the floorplans are supposed to be unchanged from 2020.

I have a 2016 3921 and have put over 30,000 miles on it, back & forth across the country twice & up & down the east coast a few times. I'm usually 500 to 1,000 pounds under the 26,000 lb limit plus we tow a Honda CRV. The gas v10 does fine. If im struggling up a pass or big hill so is everything else that is anywhere near the same size.

BTW....Just a couple days ago I saw a 2007 mid engine for sale on Facebook (probably in the Newmar for sale group). It looked in very nice shape if you don't mind orange, as that is the color of the paint. These are pretty rare.
