Cargo Bay door alignment

The cargo bay door on my waste water bay will not close, or lock. it appears the latch is out of alignment. Has anyone run into this problem and is there an easy fix?

Push the locking mechanism (on the door) up to lock it. Does it latch and stay? Pull door handle to open the door. Does the latch pop back to open? Check for anything that came loose on the door side (might have to remove the black plastic) and the coach side. Look at the marks on the latch where it hits to close the latch. With a flashlight look at the latch while slowly closing the door and see it it is lined up.

It appears probably not the latching mechanism. But appears out of alignment where the sliding hinge is. I may have to tape it shut on the road, I really don't want to duct tape the door on the RV finish (ouch) but I doubt it will stay closed...unfortunately. Guess I try a local RV tech, but they usually work on trailers and 5vers.

Take the black plastic cover off and find a place to hook a bungie cord. Use the kind that slide thru the hook on the end. That way you can tie a knot and change the lenght. Maybe use two different ones.
