Never wear our shoes inside, that is also what the original owners said.
It is way easier to take care of it than to change it out for new...........but new will come someday......as with anything.
I sure wish the PO of our coach had taken the same care of ours as you have of yours. I had ours professionally cleaned but it still looks pretty grungy (sp) and detracts from the rest of the coach so I'd like to replace it.

Re: Carpet Tiles
The floor has held up very well but it is not as soft as deep carpet. Cleans easily with a vacuum or a broom. Also,we had a roof leak and I was able to lift the tiles an allow them, and the floor below them,to dry.
There are visible seams with carpet tile and I think a thicker piece of thicker carpet cut from a paper or cardboard template might be more" plush" for some.
Certainly installation was easy with the carpet tiles and since the carpet tiles are in the forward area of the MH they a re perfect for road travel and the in and out of campgrounds. We are pretty happy with them and will add them to the bedroom this winter.
Have to admit that laminated flooring is good looking but but probably harder to keep clean. The carpet tiles do not hold dust etc. My tiles are commercial grade and are meant to be high wear and easy clean. Hope this helps.
