Ceiling light lenses

Guys,

We have a (new to us) 2004 Essex 4502. A couple of the little round spotlights (halogen??) are burnt out and need a fresh bulb. I have no trouble doing this work, but the first one I took apart to work on, I managed to break off the tab that holds the lens in place. It's about 3" across, white with a clear lens in the center. What is the best way to take these down and NOT break the tab, and where do I go for a replacement? I looked on Amazon and they have some that are bronze colored, not white.

Thanks in advance,

Tom in Okeechobee, FL

Newmar parts department will likely have them...and, probably can tell you the right way to remove them.

We have the same (or very similar) lights in our 2003 Eagle. They are to be turned about 45 degrees in order to release the 3 plastic tabs from the ceiling mount. Age and heat have probably caused a number of them to kind of fuse together; so use a larger Channel-Lock and gently twist the light.

The clear lens inside the donut exterior is NLA, according to REV, so be very careful handling them. Replacing with LED and changing the color of the rings was the purpose for learning about them.

Update on the lights. I did a search and found the number for the light and lens, on-line, and ordered a couple from Amazon. I'll have them next week. The only issue is, the lenses are bronze colored, not white like most of mine are. I think I'll put them over the kitchen sink, which has bronze appliances, and then replace the white one that I have broken. That will leave me with one spare.

If you ever want to get rid of the halogens, we replaced ours with these LEDs in our 2004 Dutchstar Facon 3Inch LED RV Puck Light... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XR85Y7B...p_mob_ap_share

Love the way they look too. (Sorry for the upside down photo, not sure how to fix it on my phone)
