I will not be much help but will tell you that they should go on properly only one way. I lost one because it llooked correct but was not tight enough and lost on a rough interstate. Now when I remove mine I mark exacly how they came off with a painters tape and put the on in the exact same location. I think if you ordered fron Spartan they will fit just need to go with trial and error and to get get them on in the correct spot so they will be tight.

Sounds like you have the wrong lip height. Here is a link with several different heights. Chrome and Stainless Steel Front Hub Caps - PartsSystems

Good luck!

I got tired of loosing them and paying the premium price from Spartan for replacements. I came across cheap chromed ones in a truck stop and bought a couple of the long tab (6?) ones. A little lining up adjustments and pop them with your fist and they are on to stay. If I remember, they were less than $10 each.
