Changing front speakers. What did you use?

Want to change out the front speakers in our 06 EXDP, especially for the in dash system. What have those of you who have accomplished this task use to improve sound quality? I would like to put 2 sets of JBL Control 1 speakers in there, but not enough room. I do know extra care needs to be taken cutting the silicone to remove grill. (Didn't know stitches cost $400.00+ now a days)
Thanks
Chuck

Looking at this Brochure not much help. My cabinets were open to the over head side speakers so just had to remove the existing and place in the new ones.

While I was in there was able to swap out the rear speaker control wire leads off radio so Kitchen speakers were move to rear bedroom speaker leads, off the rear fade control leads so I could control all front speakers from radio.
I was able to put 6x9 speakers in that space.
When I put in the DVD 5.1 system I can play FM through the new speakers of the DVD system because its wired off the small inverter 120 outlet its wired to for power while traveling, best of both worlds.

Can see setup in QT's 1 & 2.
If you can see the speakers from a cabinet or remove a plywood panel in cabinet to side of speaker space maybe done.
If you could post some pictures maybe able to help more.

Will post some pics tomorrow. Ours has the solid panel between overhead doors and I had to remove front grills that are siliconed in. 2 satellite speakers in each side (DMH) and sound quality is poor at best for in dash radio and it didn't help they were pointed up. Not bad speakers for rear surround sound.
Thanks for the info.

I used a pair of Memphis PR410s<Power Reference Coaxial Speakers from Memphis Car Audio with good results. Changed the POS Jensen to a Pioneer flat screen with XM and a 2nd bumper level cam. Very happy.

Try looking at Crutchfield: Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, LCD TV, Digital Cameras I was able to use Infinity Kapa series in my coach. They are made by the same company as JBL (Harmon International). The Kapa series are known for being bright or strong high's which in my case gave much improved stereo separation.
