Charging While Stored
We use our coach mostly in the winter. In the summer, we store at a place without power. The chassis battery is charged by a small solar panel on the roof. My coach batteries usually run down to about 12.2 volts after a week or so. So I have to visit the coach and run the generator every week. Can I use a small solar panel to maintain the charge on the house batteries? Where would I. plug it in?

I have the same situation. I just posted my solution (with pictures) in the going green area.

Thanks for all the work you have done asSKier, your link is now in the large sticky for NEWMAR Owners. in the Solar location section.
Looks like its a good solution for non-powered storage locations for all batteries in coach.

That is the obvious first step. However, even with the house batteries switched off, my coach has .3A parasitic draw on the chassis batteries and .5A draw on the house batteries.
As I store my coach during the winter and minus temps are possible, I need my batteries to be fully charged at all times.

The batteries discharge in 7-9 days.

If you have the Battery Cut Off , BCO, switch off they will still discharge from par-acidic loads EMC,TMC,Radio.etc, the link provided by azSKier should take care of your problem if you do not have at least 110 to plug into " if coach outside"
My coach's were always parked outside but I had 110 to plug shore line into.
Trik-L-Start will not work where are you going to get the power for battery your using to keep TriK-L-Start working.

My solution was to install a 50 amp electrical outlet outside. We cover our coach in the winter due to the potential snow load here and the multiple freeze/thaw cycles. The outside 50 amp outlet lets us keep the batteries in tip-top shape!

I have added 200W solar to my roof. It keeps my batteries charged all the time when stored. You can probably get by with 100W.

Why not pull the batteries and take them home with you so you can charge them on occasion while it's stored.

With the coach batteries off and the chassis batteries isolated there shouldn’t be any draw, unless someone has connected something directly to the batteries. I think this needs more investigation. I stored mine for 6 months with no issues. I had to turn the radio all the way off, turn off the engine master, and isolate the chassis batteries with the “store” button. Otherwise I would disconnect them.
