Coach chassis went dead

Driving my 2000 diesel pusher Dutch Star over Vail Pass on I70 yesterday, hit a nasty bump and everything went dead. Coasted to side of the road. Guages all stuck at their last positions. No chassis electrical, but coach electrical fine.

Is there a chassis electrical disconnect switch that might have tripped that I don't know about? Got it towed for service on Monday but hope you all can shed some light.

Can't speak specifically to your coach, but yes, there is a chassis disconnect switch, usually in the battery bay.

However, what you describe does not typically fit the results from disconnecting the chassis power via the disconnect switch. The fact the gauges still "read" their last position is not symptomatic of chassis power being turned OFF at the disconnect switch. Further, the fact that this all happened after a major bump, points to a fuse, circuit breaker, loose wire/plug, or even electronic component as the likely cause.

Whatever it turns out to be, good luck and we hope the solution if found quickly. Please update this thread when all is done so you can help others who may find themselves in similar circumstances.
