Coax Splitter locations

Anyone know the routing and locations of the cable coax in a Ventana LE? Newmar pointed me to a splitter located under the kitchen sink but it's almost impossible to reach. It's a 4/1 with only two out ports connected so there must be more. Before I wrestle with the one under the sink I would like to find the others. Thanks.

I don't know about your system, but if only two ports are used in splitter, you'll have a better signal if you cap the others. Home Depot sells F Connector Termination Caps for $5 for a bag of four of them. You should cap any unused splitter taps. Open taps reflect the signal back up the line and cause video interference.

I have one on the side wall in the compartment right in front of the pegboard compartment. I believe it is for the OTA antenna, but it may be for cable also.

What is the problem?

I replaced my 4 output splitters installed by Newmar, with the proper splitters having the appropriate number of outputs for their use. Cost a little more than using the termination caps but provides a little better signal strength than the term caps. The way Newmar does it (un-terminated outputs) is very poor engineering.

In my CS there was one behind the fireplace under the televator and another behind the over cab TV.

Concur with the recommendation to replace splitters that have unneeded taps. Splitters divide the signal and also power. Each output of a four way has only 1/4 of the signal at the input. Each output of a two way has 1/2 of the input signal, etc. Splitters are cheap.

Turned out to be loose coax connections on the splitter located on the bay wall adjacent to the tool bay. Still would like to know all splitter locations for future reference. Thanks to one and all for the help.[emoji1]
