Cockpit alarm/buzzer volume (Old Guy Problem)

I have a Spartan chassis in my Essex. I several questions:
Do all the audible alarms for engine, jacks, transmission etc. use the same alarm buzzer in the dash? Is it accessible and replaceable?

The reason is the frequency is to high and the volume is to low for me to hear all the time, my wife can hear it fine. So I would like add another buzzer that I can hear better. Any thoughts or ideas?

I also have the same problem with the Silverleaf alarms, but worse. I'm going to call them.

Some just plug in slot like a fuse does on panel under the dash and others maybe into wiring harness.
If you can find them mark location found and that to auto supply explain you need a different pitch of sound to hear the devise better , not sure if thay do make different pitch alarms maybe Goggle will have them.

Sounds like a perfect situation for haptic alerting. Many car makers are using vibrating seats and steering wheels for lane departure warnings. Have not seen any after market haptic devices but it should be easy to make. Just install a vibrating device under the seat and hook it up to the buzzer circuit.

I have pretty much the same issue with certain frequencies. On my Dutch Star, I found it too loud and really annoying. On mine it was just a separate buzzer with two wires. I bought a couple different buzzers and found one I liked. I exchanged it out for the OEM buzzer.

Lastly.....don't you just hate it when the wife looks and you says.....don't you hear that!

A cheaper alternative would be to give your wife a small frying pan... Once she hears the sound, she could alert you with the pan.

I like your idea. Let's us know if you find a source for the vibrator device. One caution though ... it might require more current than the buzzer circuit could handle so you could rig a relay to the buzzer circuit and when the relay closes it would feed 12V from a separate fused circuit. Shouldn't be too hard to do.
