Compressed air

Hi, Folks! We will be getting a 2021 Kountry Star. We noticed near the rear hitch there is an opening that is some kind of air port. We currently have the Air Force One braking system. Can we use this port to connect to our toad and have a functioning auxiliary braking system, or will we have to buy the Air Force One system for the coach? Thanks in advance!

Some toad braking systems use the air setup from the coach but not sure if the AF 1 uses that. The one that I know of puts a part on the master cylinder between the booster and brake cylinder.

Compressed air

You will need to trace the air line and see where it is going to.
To use on AF1 it needs to be an air line from the braking system.
Some are just T’d into a line going to brakes and if like the AF1 system it is going to a safety valve and ping tank.

Edit: I just noticed you have a 2021, if it is a Spartan chassis it may have the Safe Haul Option which is for an AF1 type system.

I looked at the Kountry Star specs, but there is no mention of a brake airline. My guess, even though it's not mentioned, it's an airline for a brake system.

If it is a Freightliner chassis, then it is their new Brake-Sync for toad vehicles.
New for 2021.

Compressed Air

Thanks so much for all of your input!

da40flyer, yes, our chassis is a Freightliner, and you have answered our question! Great information sheet! Now I just have to find a hose that will fit this port.
