Considering a 2007 Kountry Star 3624 DP

I'm looking at a 2007 Kountry Star 3624 with 42K miles and would love any input from owners who have experience with this model. I've been going back and forth between diesel and gas units but this seems to be an excellent package and a lot of coach for the $$$. It's very rare to find a 350HP DP with a King Bedroom, full size stackable W/D all on a 36 footer.

Is there any major performance differences between the Spartan and Freightliner configurations?

As usual, thanks for your time.

Hi Rule62,
I own an 05 KSDP. The Cummins 350 should provide more than adequate power. The only problem that seems to affect many coaches 04 through 07 is paint checking. Many brands (not just Newmar) have defective fiberglass. The shows up first as a chicken scratch look and then migrates to spider web look. To see if the coach has this fiberglass defect, look at the side of the coach (not the slide side, the coach side) at a 45 degree angle with the sun behind you. The coach must be as clean as possible. The only remedy is to take the coach to Newmar and have them replace the fiberglass and repaint the coach.

Other than that, I know of no general reoccurring problems. My coach has 99K miles on it and I am very pleased with how the coach as served me.

Add the '02 DSDP's to the so called "paint checking". The one we just traded was showing it in the dark painted areas.
