Convex mirror parted company.

Last trip out the dr side convex mirror on our 2001 Mountain Aire Gasser decided it liked the area around Oneida lake and wanted to stay.
DW 'aren't you going to turn around and go look for it'?
34' MH w/ Buick TOAD on a two lane state rd. (she now understands why that wasn't happening...LOL).
Well I'd appreciate any thoughts on how to get a replacement?
While I'm asking... I had a fubar moment and broke one of the green sun shields.
Just call me the bull in the china shop.

You might try calling Ramco. Assuming you have the same mirrors as my 03 DS. I have talked to them on a couple of occasions and they are good to deal with.
Mine came loose on the drivers side but I saw it while stopped. Took it off, cleaned it and stuck it back on with some Silicone. 4 years, so far, so good.

Post a pic of the mirror and people can probably help you out. I am assuming that you are speaking of the small add on mirror that goes on the regular mirror, correct? If so, you can pick them up at any auto parts store or big box store. They generally adhere with double sticky tape or adhesive, just peel and stick to replace.

Ramco looks like an exact fit.
Thanks.

Just replaced the passenger side one yesterday on mine. The lower mirror convex, about 8" x 4". I found mine on ebay or amazon, not sure. There are two choices, the kit like mine that snaps on or a glue on one. it is Ramco.

I had to replace mine on the passenger side. Called Ramco with measurements, since it was so reasonable in price, ordered two in case driver's side ever needs replacing. Easy to install.

Keitha --

I know this drill exceedingly well. I had virtually the same experience with the westbound toll booth on I-90 out of Cleveland heading out to Nappanee in our second coach. The toll booth simply wanted to keep my mirror and was not open to negotiation.

Immediately after I reached out and got the toll ticket and started to roll through the toll gate, the right wall of the toll booth jumped out and snatched the right mirror on the coach, leaving it dangle on the side of the coach as I pulled away. Had to stop along the road, call the DW to figure out where in the world we put the wire cutters, don my sterile gloves for some emergency surgery to excise the dangling mirror from the wire holding it and then call ahead to Newmar to add a replacement Ramco to the list. Upon reflection on the way to Nappanee, I decided that I really wanted to have the LED lights in the mirror anyhow so I upgraded to the LED mirrors and replaced them both.

Thus, the toll booth misadventure only cost me about $2,500.00!

Talk about FUBAR! My middle name.

One thing I learned from this episode is to give those pesky and unpredictable toll booth walls a tad more leeway than I used to.

Now, if you think you can top my story, you have another thing coming!

Keith's.... You're well covered on the convex for the Ramco. Is this the type of green sun shield you (ahem) modified?

I've got one that the PO "modified" as well.
Not too high on my list of things to replace right now, just a piece off of one corner (near his installed 12v window fan on the left windshield post).. First I thought it was customized to fit around the fan if low down, now I know better.
