Question Coolant Capacity Freightliner XCR w/ISL9 450

One of my top projects this Spring will be to do a complete coolant change in my 43' 2013 Mountain Aire on the Freightliner XCR with the 450 ISL9. I have consulted my Freightliner manual which states there are 12 QUARTS....yes quarts, of coolant plus any lines and heaters. Three gallons sounds like a very low amount of total system coolant capacity to me even if adding 2 - 3 gallons for the dash heater and lines and the heater line to the Oasis.

If anyone here has done a complete coolant change, can you advise what you have for capacity with this Chassis/Engine? It wouldn't have to be a Mountain Aire, but should be a side radiator model with that combination.

I'm sending a request to Freightliner as well, but since they never responded to my last inquiry, which is unusual, I thought I'd try here as well.

Hi - My 450 is 16.5 quarts but that is the engine only, not the entire cooling system. I don't know the specs of the rest of your system.

That sounds a LOT more like it! I was thinking around 10 gallons total.
