Couple of Mods for New Aire 3341
Attached are two recent mods for our 3341...
I think all New Aires have a step on the closet floor. Maybe some other models do as well. It seemed like an ideal place for vertical shoe/storage cubbies.
The 3341’s have a large empty wall next to the refrigerator. It as a perfect place for a small magazine rack/magnetic chalkboard.

Bucky,
Those are two great mods!
I really like the magazine rack/magnetic chalkboard.
Thanks for sharing.

Gil-
The shoe storage is a great idea. Our New Aire 3343 doesn’t have a flat step on the closet floor - the rear has a slope (45 degrees?) from the floor up to the back wall. I’m thinking a shoe holder like you built but which incorporates a sloped base, which is then attached to the rear wall will work. I’m adding this near the top of the list!

Thanks Ward...
Interesting that your closet is different...do you think it is 3341 vs 3343 or a mid year production adjustment?
At any rate, a different design could take advantage of your slope situation...design it so the toes of both shoes are always pointed down into the angled space.

Nice job, did you make or buy the magazine rack?

Thanks. I looked for one to buy, but couldn't find anything I liked...decided to design/make my own.

That is kind of weird, our NA has the flat ledge in the closet.

Jim...I believe Ward's build date was earlier than ours. They probably changed the design at some point. -Gil
