Cracked Windshield

Ok so my windshield cracked from a stone chip that was repaired by safelite last year. So now I'm looking for a qualified place to have it replaced. I already got an estimate from Newmar but will not be back there until September 2023. I would rather have Newmar do it but don't know if I can let it go that long in fear of a lot more cracking before I get there. Any one have any experience with a windshield repair facility in Arizona or California? 2021 Kountry star.

Does your insurance cover glass? Here in SC all glass claims have a 0 deductible if you have comprehensive coverage.

I hit a Turkey back in 2009.
Safelite came to my home and replaced my windshield.
I think it took about two weeks to get it from the supplier in Indiana.
Came to my home and did it in about two hours. Worked great until I traded it in. 2020.

I just had mine replaced last month. The glass repairman does my dealer's windshield repairs. He has a flatbed truck that he drives up to the front of the coach and does all the work from the bed of the truck.

He works out of Ventura County, (Simi Valley, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks) area. If you think that's an area you'd travel to, PM me and I'll provide his info.

I second RV Glass Solutions. They were in Buckeye, AZ when we had ours replaced about this time last year. They have a secure lot with electricity for overnighting.

The only issue I have with glass solutions is it seems like they're just a middleman. After you call them they give you a price then they reach out to glass installers in your area to get it installed. Plus the price they gave me was $3100 Newmar's price is $4800. I know Newmar is a lot higher on everything but this is a big spread.

No immediate cost to you, but the replacement is considered a claim and will impact you rate.

That was not my experience with State Farm after replacing a car windshield last year. Maybe the RV policy is different.

Your right on point Anytime insurance gets involved now rates go up. Insurance is to be used for catastrophic loss only. Times sure have changed.

It's a little north west of my travel plans but will keep it in mind thanks.

You can tell Glass solutions to use only original Newmar glass.
