Creaking noise

I just took delivery of a 2017 DSDP and there is a lot of creaking noise from the cockpit area while driving. Has anyone had and resolved this concern?

My experience has been that all new coaches need a little time to work out the noises. Dashboards have alot of parts that can rub/rattle until some of the edges get worn off. I would suggest giving it some time to settle out, unless you can have your co-pilot try to locate the source while you are underway.

The lead culprit for me in terms of creaking/rattling has been the entry door, particularly the screen door. We've fought this for two years, and have finally resorted to wedging a rag between the door and the screen door. Not elegant, but seems to provide some quiet.

Noise has become more of a problem for me lately. I just got hearing aids and now I can hear EVERY rattle, bump, and buzz in the whole darned coach. Next trip I am taking them off!

We have a 2016 DSDP 4018 and the creaking coming from the windows drove us nuts. It kills the joy of owning the coach, especially on bad roads, like Caifornia!

Call Newmar. They know about this problem and will send special foam that goes between the window and the walls. It eliminates most of the creaking, but not all.

It is a shame that they have not dealt with this problem with the 2017 coaches.

My 2017 4369 is very quiet. Windows don't creak at all either.

On our unit most creaks are associated with lack of slamming entry door, as stated before we believe it is screen door, but when entry is shut hard squeak and creak disappear

If you have slider windows with screens, check the contact with the screens before you go too deep. If you can place a few strips of easy removable vinyl tape at several points of contact along the screen and window frame and push them in tightly then do a test drive. You might discover that the screen frames are flexing against the window frames. That was the source of our creaking in this area. Good luck!

Newmar sent a picture to my dealer and they install some screws in window frames. It made a big difference

I used 3/16' thick x 3/8 wide foam and it worked great. The last trip I took was so quiet!

We have a 2016 Ventana le 4037 and the window next to the passenger seat creaked like a mad dog. We heard about the solution to add screws. A real sharp Newmar factory technician removed the window that was creaking and put a rubber seal around the edge of the window, reinstalled it, and creaking noise was completely gone.
