Cruise control out of control
We have a 2003 Kountry Star diesel pusher. Our cruise control is doing strange things, 1st it will gain speed or 2nd I'm driving with the cruise on but not set and it will, on it's own, resume to the previous setting. The 3rd oddity is not as troubling the cruise just disengages. All of these occurred while traveling on a relative flat highway or Interstate.
Has anyone had a similar problem. I'm afraid we might need an exorcism.
thanks

Sorry, can't help. Have you talked to Spartan? They are very helpful.

Sorry your having problems. Poor connections between the control stalk or smart wheel, and main harness, would be a first guess. ( don't know where your control is ) My cruise would cut out on wet roads , stop light switch wiring problem.
More info , helps with more meaningful answers, so members need to know , Spartan or Freightliner Chassis , Cat or Cummins, Smart wheel or control, or on turn signal stalk. Wet roads or raining when problems occur ?
Problems don't start till on highway for 2 to3 hrs.

Welcome to the forum BJ.
Here is a Brochure and Owners Guide for you.
In my signature below there three QT's links that will relate with your Newmar.
If you have a Smart Wheel here is a PDF for that.
Some cruise control leads work through your brake switch check to make sure its not mounted loose above brake pedal.
Enjoy the forum.

For free help from Freightliner keep track of this number
1-800-385-4357 have your serial number handy when you call.
Take some time to join " Access Freightliner " takes a while , but you get online access to wiring and parts info for your chassis.
My chassis , Cat engine with cruise on the stalk, uses an interpreter module, between the stalk wiring and the main dash harness. It's a black about 1 1/2" cube, take a look under the dash and follow the stalk wiring to make sure the connections are tight, at the interpreter.
BJ, if you take a min. and in the " User CP" under the " Edit Signature " put in your RV's info , it will appear on your posts so you don't have to type it in every time. As mine does below.
