Damn Recalls!
It looks like Newmar has expanded the recalls on the windows, and I just received notice from the NHTSA on tie rod and leaking fuel line (not the fuel rail) recalls.
Interesting / stupid thing is, the production dates listed on a couple of these show dates into the future!?!? Are they going to keep using the bad parts? Doesn't make much sense.
The initial window recall showed production dates prior to our coach's build, but the latest extends past ours.

Probably the back log of chassis waiting to be built and coaches on the line and the extended date is to ensure these get done, either during production or after if it gets neglected. Chances are they will get done before completion.
What is the tie rod issue? I haven’t seen that one but just replaced mine (2016) at 40,000 miles which seemed early for the amount of wear since it was always well lubed.

Loos tie rod end clamps due to the lock washers being "over crimped." See attached.

I have 3 recalls on my Freightliner chassis including the fuel line.
No big deal. Just make an appointment with Freightliner.
My shop knows all about the recalls and fixed them quick

The non emergent ones I either skip or wait until I have a need to take the coach to Freightliner.
I checked my fuel rail, no leaks. On something like a fuel rail, it only takes a couple of leaking units, out of thousands, to enact a recall. The odds of yours being bad are slim.
Another recall I received a while back is the dash brightness recall. I don't drive at night, so slim to none that it will be an issue for me. I bought the piece of tint that fits the dash screen last year, so if I did drive at night, I'm covered. Even after the recall was active, they were having issues installing the update. Now that I've waited, they've perfected the software update.
My understanding on the windows.....they inspect them to see if they're failing. I know mine aren't at this time, but feel that now they will be covered, at least for a few years into the future.
As a new owner years ago, I use to rush right out to get recalls done. Now I take then in stride and get them done at my leisure. Typically, I do my own inspection and have even done the repair myself. Obviously, if it's a safety issue, like a tie rod, and I can see damage, I'll get it repaired. But remember, it only takes a couple where a gorilla overtightened the tie rods to create a recall. Most times when you go in, they inspect and write them off with no further action.

Words of wisdom, Don. I am definitely planning to check the tie rods myself, and I know my fuel line is not leaking.

A guy from church said a few weeks ago that his 2020 car had 5 recall issued in the first 6 months he owned it. I think he has a Chevrolet but not sure. It seems that recalls have become the norm instead of the exception.
