DASH CAM placement

Looking for opinions as to the best place on the windshield to place a dash cam. Up high centered or directly above wiper blades or somewhere in between?

Out of your line of vision , in the sweep of the wipers( for rainy day view) , with a view of the road as close to the front of the coach as possible .
Pull the card and view the video after each trip, move the mount as required, till you get the view you feel is best.

While the DS may be different regarding wipers and placement when they are parked, mine is placed just above the dash and actually looks out between the 2 wipers. Excellent view looking forward with no interference from the wipers except when they are on.

My dash camera gives a pretty wide HD view of the road. I didn't want wires running across the dash, so it's mounted in the lower left corner of the windshield, about 4" up from the dash. I have it slightly angled toward the center of the road.

I drilled a 1/2" hole in the side of the dash (can only be seen when looking in the window from the outside) and ran the wiring for my laptop (Silverleaf VMSpc) TST tire monitor and dash cam through the hole and power them under the dash.
