DEF filter change interval?

What is the suggested change interval for the DEF filter?

At the Spartan seminar I attended, they suggested three years. But the said it’s probably more important that you carry a spare, since a filter can go bad quickly if you get some bad DEF.

All the filters are the same. I just picked up a spare at the FMCA Rally in Perry, GA.

It is 200,000 miles, so you will never need to replace it unless you get bad DEF.

I changed mine at four years. Here is the post I did on changing it. It's probably one of the last filters you have to worry about changing, but I wanted to know how to do it and I carry a spare.

Don, I have the Bosch filter ($37 from Amazon) just in case, but like you I am trying to work out how to change the air cleaner dessicant. Did you find a way to do that yourself?

Had planned on doing it this week, but we've had a week of rain, pouring right now. As many know, California is always bone dry, but we've had several good storms over the last 10 days. Looking for clearing next week. I'll try and document the air dryer service.

Mike Cody, the training guru at FL, told the class 200K intervals with no time limit. He said he got that info directly from Cummins.

We just had another round of snow so I won't be doing mine until the summer.
