I'm sure the odds/percentage of having one fail on either chassis, and especially on a non Shaw system, is pretty small. But.....if you're in that small percentage, what a pain. Hopefully you're near a facility that can get and change one for you.

I know it was probably a waste of money, but I bought a spare. There were only two out west, mine came from Utah. I'm guessing you could probably get one overnighted if you had to.

My DEF head failed in March 2021. I didn’t really see a need to respond to yet another thread on the subject, but don’t take the lack of user response as an indication that the problem is not very prevalent. Perhaps folks just want this issue to go away and didn’t see the need to respond to yet another DEF thread.

Anywhere else but on this forum, and I would agree with you.
Especially over the last year. -Paul

I was at Camp Freightliner a couple weeks ago. FCCC rep said "All the DEF head issues that have everyone's hair on fire are Spartan chassis issues. Not Freightliner. However, the Valor TPMS system on newer FL Chassis is Freightliners DEF head issue.
