Delivery of our new London Aire

Woo Hoo!

Got our first look at our new coach this morning, spent almost 5 hours with our tech, Stan. Left him to tackle a couple of items found so far. One, I don't like how the floor of the full wall slide doesn't quite match up to the main floor. They've dealt with this often enough now he has some shims pre-made o address the issue. We're having him remove the flip up table on the front passenger captains chair. Peggy says she doesn't want it and when the chair is rotated to become part of the living room it is in the way and a trip hazard. Found stains on the bedspread, not comfortable with an electrical panel that is exposed to whatever I put on the half width slide tray (storage bay) and he's going to try to come up with something to protect it. He's got a few other things he's researching for us, but so far the fit and finish we've found is far superior to what we already had found our last time at the rodeo. In the coming days Stan will help install our Direct TV receivers and our TPMS system and we still have to go over the operation of the big awnings, slide operation and leveling - all of which will wait until we get it outside either tomorrow or sometime Wednesday. Later in the week we'll do a test drive and after we've moved in, go back to the scales.

This is what we saw when we came around the corner:

This center rear bath vanity cabinet had been dropped from the 2016 line but we had it added as a special. Also visable in this photo are the opaque rear closet panels we had added (taken from the King Aire) to replace the standard mirrors:

There is another window standard in the back wall of the bedroom full wall slide, to the left of this window, that we felt looked awkward - half over the dresser, half hanging out into space. We had it deleted and will hang some of our personal art in it's place:

Peggy's checking out kitchen storage, trying to envision where she'll put everything.

Trying out the new recliners:

Congrats. While more MH than I would ever want, I can certainly understand why a lot of folks want them. Spent the morning walking thru all the Newmar DP's here at Tom Johnson Camping World and boy are they nice.

Beautiful coach, well done on the specials. We'll be taking delivery of our new Dutch Star 4018 on June 6. We've seen photos of her, but anxiously await seeing her for the first time, just as you have done today.

Wow! I just noticed that you have awnings on both sides of the coach!!! I'm going to do that to my London Aire......in 5 years.

Gorgeous. I like the color of your furniture. I'm seriously looking into adding two recliners to replace the sofa. That color may work.

Congratulations!! Beautiful!!!

Isn't it funny how we all become little kids again, like our first bicycle on Xmas Morning!!!

I recently had the same experience in April. When I came around the corner and saw our coach waiting for us and all opened, my wife said....."You can close your mouth now"!
