Delivery Questions

We are taking delivery of a 2018 Ventana 4037 next week from a dealer. This is an all electric coach and the technology is well advanced from our first coach which was a 1995 gas coach! We've been away from motorhomes since 2002.

The dealer has been great so far and I fully expect a great experience during delivery and post purchase.

I've got a list of questions, but like they say, you don't know what you don't know and I'd like to ask all the right questions.

So, for those of you who have been in a similar situation, what questions did you come up with after you took delivery and went on your merry way?

And yes, the anticipation is killing us!! (LOL)

You need to disclose which dealer it is. Somebody here will have probably done business with them and can give you advice. This dealer may or may not meet your expectations. A lot of them don't.
In the meantime, google NIRVC pre-delivery checklist. It's very thorough and if you check off on each one as you test it, you'll know what works and what doesn't.

I am sure you’re excited. Just get as much info on the coach’s history including maintenance records, recall work, etc. Enjoy.

We are purchasing this motorhome from Midway RV Center (a sponsor/advertiser on this site). They have been great so far. Just got a call from our salesman this afternoon who updated us on the status of their pre-delivery prep.

They have compiled all service records since new (including Freightliner and Cummins service done outside of Midway's shop!) and verified any recalls are complete. The salesman and I have compared notes (several times) and we are on the same page as far as what he noticed, and I noticed needed to be addressed. All are minor in nature.

We are still on track for a delivery next week.

Make sure they check the torque on all the slide motor bolts. If you've been reading on this forum you already know about the issue many have with those bolts loosening which can damage the motor housing and or mounting brackets.
