Diagnostic code SPN 1081:FMI 9:0C:1SA:0
My 2019 Dutch Star 3717 check engine light came on on the way home and would not go off. Diagnostic code is above. Air conditioner also stopped cooling. The air had a similar failure at about 8,000 miles. The PCM was replaced and the air came back. I am scheduled to get 4 Cummins recalls fixed in August, one related to the PCM. My KIB monitoring panel for the tanks and voltage is also showing 0 in all areas even though it is powered up. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar issues? I do have an appointment with the Newmar Mobile Tech on July 13 to address a window recall and the seat wiring issue so I will get his thoughts on the other issues. The service advisor at the Cummins facility said to check all the battery connections as the error code indicated it is a communication error of some kind. Thanks as always for any thoughts out there.

Here’s the Cummins code manual. Look on the far left column for 1081. Hope this helps narrow the fault down.

The code is not anything to worry about right now. It refers to the “wait to start” light. It does not have anything to do with your ACs, KIB panel, etc.

The 1081 code should clear itself up after three normal starts. I've caused mine to throw that code by not waiting til the wait to start light goes out to start. After three starts waiting on the light, it went away.

Jeff....on the left/middle of your dash is a yellow check engine light that looks like an engine block. That light will stay lit for about 20 seconds after all the other lights go off, when starting the coach. If you start before that one goes out, about 20 minutes down the road, you'll get the code you got. The last digit in the code is how many times this code has occurred.
After about five starts and stops where the engine runs for more than five minutes, that code will clear.

Once you have the PDM recall completed you may notice several systems that will work better
Haven’t had your issues but get the recalls completed then go after the other issues.

Thanks Don. I"m pretty religious about waiting but I must have pushed too quick on our way home from Paso Robles. I'll post up my results with the Newmar Mobile Tech and my Cummins issues, once completed.

This must be why the newer models have a "wait to start" light that says "wait to start" and doesn't just light the MIL. How often does yours say to wait? Mine rarely comes on and only if it's really cold out. I think it's only had me wait once.

Have you tried pulling the F8 fuse, waiting a few minutes and then reinserting it?
The fuse is in the bathroom panel.
Mine did that before and pulling and reinserting the fuse worked.
