Talking Did it got a Newmar ------ WOW

Went from a Gulfstream 38 foot to a Newmar 43 foot 2011 Venatana
and wow where to begin .....
North Trails RV in Ft Lauderdale - great people
from Ryan service manager to his crew
Nate
Pat
Chris
they al put up with this very picky customer and were great folks.
The salesman Norman a very nice sincere man
the parts man Ed , very helpful and friendly .. thanks to the girls at the reception desk and a special thanks to Mike the contract guy for great rates and coverage at a can't say no price.

===================

Now to the coach --- new 2011 Ventana loaded ( glad I got the DEF free unit )

COMFORT DRIVE oh my GOD -- Newmar people need to talk this up as when I heard about it I was like "meh" but the first time I used it
sweet -- and I mean that I will never go back to a regular drive after this .

A Newmar rep was at the dealership I had a problem with the TV he said no problem fixed it - fast and as a courtesy for being a Newmar customer .
I haven't seen customer service like that in a long time .

Small problem with the Air Force One brake system and the service guys pulled out all the stops to make it work right - special thanks to Nate - Chris and Pat along with their boss Ryan .

I will add to this as we get closer to home but I am tired now and need some rest.

So far Newmar quality is standing tall in my book .If I feel like this in 6 months Newmar is the brand for me the next buy . Those Mountain Airs looked like I could do full time in one

I will post pics down the road

Thanks folks

I have been stationary the last few days and all is well but I did have a thing come up can anyone help me out

When I have the engine decompression brake engaged ( 43 foot Ventana model ) I hear a whistle
What the heck is that and can I get it to go away ?

Do I have a air leak somewhere or is the compression brake whistling ?

Just got a 13 Baystar 3209 last week or two. Looked at a new ventana also and the dealer told me that model has a exhaust brake and it just closes off the exhaust with a value, which creates back pressure and slows the engine down. He said to get a real mechanical Jake type in the head engine brake you have to jump up a class of Newmar with a bigger cummins with the in head brake. It closes the exhaust valves and with the back pressure slows you down. They both do basically the same thing. You may have a exhaust leak in front of the shutoff valve, and the whistle is exhaust gas leaking under pressure. Should be easy to find.
