Thumbs up Did you know you can change paint colors when you order your coach?

I just ordered a 2017 Canyon Star 3513 today. I am keeping three of the four colors. Keeping the black main body paint, but replacing the dark pewter to match the honda blue mountain metallic. Swapping the silver metallic for the white and using white as the accent stripe color. Newmar will not allow changing the graphics, but you can change the colors to any color that Newmar stocks - which is almost anything you want. Didn't know if people knew this was an option with Newmar - I think it is a great thing for Newmar to do! The cost is very reasonable - I think the cost depends on how many paints you the graphics has. Hope this helps other who might want to make "their" coach special. Have to remember this - if you change it - then you have definitely bought it!

That is good to know. I would not purchase a coach with black paint on it or any real dark color. The black gets very hot compared to other colors which will lead to a quicker break down of the coating and the paint, and it heats up the coach.

Yes, this has been a standard "special" with Newmar for many years. Many Newmar owners in this forum have taken advantage of this to customize and personalize the exterior and interior of our coaches.

Thanks Ludmilla for the tip on black. I really like the look of black - plus remember the top of the coach is white if you choose brite tek - which is really the only material I would pick. I have had three units each with Brite Tek- never a problem with any of them. By the way, my last coach is 10.5 years old!

Again, I wanted to share about the exterior paint - I think that is great that Newmar will do this. I had never asked before - just thought I had to pick one of their color choices.

We are ordering our Dsdp 4369 next week. We were back in Nappanee 2 weeks ago meeting with Michelle choosing colors, flooring and specials. We also are specializing our paintwork to match our blue Honda CR-V. Going with Labrador black pearl for the skin. Crescent silver met., Westminster blue, and Pepper white.

I believe that the cost varies depending upon the paints you choose and the quantities that will be needed. Some of the metallics can be more expensive is what I was told. The quantity needed will vary based on coach size and which pattern portion you've chosen to replace. That all said, most of the custom color choices I've heard of have ended up costing the buyers between 1500-3000. On a tour we were told that solid black was $8k (for the coach size in question).

Good thread and please post pics of your coaches when they are done! They all sound like they'll be awesome!
