Diesel prices dropping.

I noticed today that the price of diesel at a near by station has dropped dramatically. Last Wednesday when I drove by, the price was $5.26.9 a gallon but when I went by today, the price had dropped to $4.35.9. That is a 91 cent drop within a week. Consequently, the price of gasoline has not dropped at all and is still at $409.9. Has anyone else seen the price of diesel drop like this? I told the DW I think I should go fill our RV.

It's still $5.199 here in Tucson. [Mod Edit]

Anyway, with everyone working hard to lower their fuel consumption, even a 10% drop in consumption will cause a big drop in prices. Note that the oil companies BRAGGED to their investors about how much they'd made in profits last year. They'll do the same thing this year I'd bet.

WTI crude oil dropped 20% over the last week, gasoline 20% and No 2 FO dropped a whopping 30%. Of course these are wholesale spot prices and the actual price may be determined by long term contracts. Unfortunately I got a 200 gallon fuel oil delivery at home right at the peak.

Be sure you belong to Open Roads to get your best diesel prices.

Agree - get Open Roads / TSD Logistics, although the pricing is not necessarily always the best. If all you have are Love's truck stops, the discount isn't so great.
I also use iExit for trucks and have found prices to be the same or lower in some cases. So shop around if you can.

Roll the dice. I think it will come down a good bit more within the next 4 weeks. Some stores went hog wild with their pricing and I’ve seen several in our area also reduce prices. I think it’s probably because they were stupid high in their pricing about a week or two ago.

My oil stocks did not keep up with my other stocks. Oil only gained about 33% while a lot of stocks rose 40%.

4.79 by us was at 5.49 10 days ago.

Big oil was not bragging for fy 2020. They use a quite tone when announcing how much they lost.

Cheapest TSD pricing near me is $3.956...and in the 250 mile range I see a quite a few places under $4 a gallon now. Many haven't changed too much with a few still showing over $5 TSD price.

The Love's near me most often has very competitive TSD pricing along with Caseys. Kwik Trips usually are high. KT used to be a low price leader....now they are usually the highest.

Oil is dropping like a stone. It's all the government's fault. If it weren't for them, we'd all be paying the high prices we deserve!

Plenty of angst and unwarranted vitriol thrown at "the government" when prices are rising. Thought I would give them the same when prices are coming down.

Those mindless drones in the EPA are doing everything right! How dare they? What's next? Breathable air???

Oh, the irony.
