Dirt devil, KSDP

We have a 2005 KSDP with a dirt devil central vacuum system, CV 950.

There are two places to plug in the hose, one on the unit in the basement, the other in the kitchen. The one in the basement works, but the one in the kitchen does not.

Anybody had a similar problem? Or, if someone could offer any suggestions on where to start, that would be great.

Also, does anyone know offhand if the Small Wonder replacement bags, Part # 4908 are suitable for the dirt devil CV950?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Most likely a plugged line. Maybe try a stiff wire or if you are brave, an air nozzle.

does the vac motor start from both locations? Or does it start and just no suction? If the latter, then there is a blockage. If no motor, then likely the switch at the bad opening is bad.
