Unless something recently has changed I don't see why it won't work. Wallys are so much nicer being RF compared to IR remotes! I'd maybe try calling Dish & talking to somebody else.

I've reported the issue several times to Dish and no ETA from Dish regarding a fix.) Dish is giving me grief, telling me I can only have 1 Wally on my account. I have the Hopper / joey system in my S&B. So my question is how did you manage to get Dish to allow 2 Wally's? Any advice would be appreciated.
I have two Wally's in the motorhome. And a Hopper with Sling in the sticks and bricks. All on one account. Whoever at dish telling you that you can't do this is wrong. Hang up and call back to get a differing person to help you.

Thanks for the input regarding 2 Wally receivers. Good to know there are accounts out there with 2 Wally receivers active. I ordered the second Wally so will see in about a week how may Dish Customer Service agents I have to work with to get it activated.

If you have two Wally's with two hard drives, can you bring the hard drive from Wally #1 and plug it into Wally #2 and watch those recorded shows?

Thank you everyone

I hooked up the two Wallys and love them. No problems changing channels from the outside TV.

2 Wally's up and running

Thanks to all or the input regarding 2 Wally's. I received my second Wally yesterday, called for activation and it activated with no issues. I now have 2 VIP211z's for sale if anyone is interested.

Did you have the wiring changed, the dealer had told me that the outside tv would be the same signal as the two living room tv's. this is also the way my 2016 Canyon Star is wired. ( bedroom is on its own sat box)

I have seen others do this and I did as well. I had the HDMI cables for the outside TV pulled to the bedroom A/V cabinet so it would work on the bedroom satellite receiver.

I had as a special to have outside satellite TV set to bedroom receiver. With the Wally being RF you can take remote outside & it will work to receiver that is in bedroom. We did this as we tailgate a lot and wanted to watch different channels on outside & from my inside TV's

I upgraded my 211z to a hopper with Sling and two Joey's. I found the Wallys were absolute crap on a stick when used with the Hopper. Since on my 2016 DSDP 4018, the outside TV is cabled on the same channel as the main living area, I simply added a Harmony remote and hub that operates on my internal network. I can change the inside TV from anywhere within about 100 feet of my coach. There is no neeed for a receiver outside.. if you have the roof mounted satellite Wineguard Traveler, I would go with the Hopper & Joey's.

Added benefit with Joey and Hopper I can watch anything recorded on either box at any TV. This assumes you have an internal network, like the WiFi Ranger I have installed.
