Without knowing what type of slide setup you have in your 2012 Canyon Star I will tell you how I fixed my 2020 Bay Star had a similar problem a few years ago. It was caused the TransTroque Bushing (TTB) not being tight enough and it slipped causing the front to stick out when the rear was fully retracted.
There are numerous threads on this forum about this.
On our rig, the front cog wheel is hard connected to the motor via a square shaft. The rear cog is on a round shaft which goes thru the TTB. To adjust our rig, the rear of the slide was extended a few inches, the TTB was loosened using the Crows Foot, the front of the slide was recessed by using a large crescent wrench so it was extended the same as the rear.
To get the TTB loose, you must bang on it, to let the pins (I'm sure the a correct term for these) get unjammed.
The TTB was tightened and torqued to 175ftlbs, while keeping the square shaft from turning. Ck with Newmar for your correct torque--it may be less than 175ft lbs.
Tools needed were tape measure, 250ft lb torque wrench, Crows Foot 1 1/2" (available on AMZN), crescent wrench large enough for the square shaft, 1 1/2" pipes to extend the crescent wrench handle and torque wrench handle. Some strong muscles or ?? to hold the square shaft from turning when torquing the TTB. I used a BIG block of wood & wedge to rest the crescent wrench + 30" pipe on.
