Do HWH jacks ever spit out hydraulic fluid when leveling a unit ?

I Parked set up - went to level the wife told me the right rear jack was spewing out fluid ... what the heck ?

retracted all jacks and did the level again no more fluid dripped out so the question is

do I need to have this checked or was this normal fluid loss ?

They should not leak.

My front left would loose some fluid (drip) when I first got the Rv. Enough that it would fill the shoe up.

Checked into it and the top tee connection was cracked/leaking.

Had it up on the jacks, went to let it down and the tee gave way. Rv dropped like a rock. Fluid everywhere. Got a new tee and no more leaks.

Block the Rv so you can get to it and investigate.

they are a single acting cylinder which means there is only oil on the top side of the piston, If oil came out the buttom then you have a piston seal leaking. Otherwise oil could have come out where the hose connects to the top and there is also a pressure sensor there. Try to see where the oil came from

The pressure sensor may be the problem it has a rubber collar seal that may have been pinched or cut by threads when tighten.
You may have to drop jack to get at only loosen the four bolts on pivot plates you free jack from them its difficult to get top four bolts back in top of plates and jack housing.
Just loosen bolts for easier time, plates will spread to drop jack out.
You have to remove hose and wire plug off top of jack to remove jack.
