Do or Don't I Have Satellite Connections?

2004 4025 DS. Immediately behind the passenger seat in the ceiling cabinet are four receptacle covers, one is blank, one is for telephone connection, the next one is labeled Satellite Out and has two screw on connections, both connections are separately labeled Satellite Out. The third receptacle plate has two screw on connections, one labeled Antenna In and one labeled Antenna Out.

We are trying to connect one of our DISH Wallys to one of the Satellite Out connections but neither one seem to work. Does anyone out there know if this is just a "suggestion" by the manufacturer or do they or did they work at some time. Is there any way to check continuity? Any information would be appreciated.

I hae the same coach and it had a dish mounted to the roof of the coach. Have you looked on the roof for cables? You dish would have had two cables going to it. Back in those days most satellite dishes had two connections. I have a Wally system but instead of using any existing wiring I put my Wally in the cabinet above the driver seat, ran a cable down the windshield pillar and put a cable receptacle inside the compartment where your fuse panels are. You can access the area from the front generator panel. I can open that door, run the Dish cable out wherever I need and get the satellite going. I stored the dish in that compartment.

That being said it didn't take long to just get a Firestick and start using my phone as the hotspot and watching tv that way. It was a pain trying to find a clear area for a dish to work in most campgrounds with trees around so the Firestick solved all those issues.

If your satellite antenna was manufactured prior to 2013, it will not automatically locate Dish satellites. There was a programming change in 2013 that made older automatic antennas obsolete.

Our satellite setup is a Winegard Trav'ler, it is a current edition and it does work as we have used it for our above the windshield tv and bedroom tv. We are trying to get the setup located in the cabinet immediately behind the passenger seat to work as we have installed a electric fireplace and want to be able to sit a tv on top of it and sit across from the tv on the couch. No more craning our heads to watch the overhead tv.

It seems to me I remember seeing an extra part need from Winegard for a second feed to a third TV. I say that because it sounds like you have a signal that works on two TV's that must be sharing the same signal with a splitter. The extra part from Wingard allows you to watch a different channel. You will need a second receiver as well. If you want all three TV's to watch the same channel you could install another splitter to feed the new third TV. There is a lot of information on here about how to wire that up. Hope this helps some.
