Dometic CCC2 Thermostat furnace/HP are mixed up

Our thermostat just started acting strangely after more than a year of excellent dependability. We put the setting on "FURNACE" mode and sometimes we get the furnace, sometimes we get furnace and heat pump simultaneously, and sometimes only the heat pump when in "FURNACE" mode. The Heat Pump mode is always heat pump. Thoughts on what the issue/solution might be? The Dometic 'quick start' and 'operating instructions' we have weren't helpful. As always many thanks in advance,

Thank you! Dometic (since under warrantee) wants us to get diagnostically troubleshooted. Leaning toward an A/C problem, but could be the controller. Stay tuned...

I called Dometic back and requested 'tech support'. New person and new answer. We had the 'fan' setting on 'medium'; he said change it to 'automatic'. We then turned on the 'furnace' the next morning and the furnace kept running w/o heat pumps interferring.
