Dometic frig ice maker not working

On my 2006 newmar Dutch star I have a standard dometic 10 cubic foot frig with an ice maker. I used it last year, but I forgot how to get it going again. The water line is turned open, the gate is down and there is power to the ice maker, and it is plugged in to 50 amp power, and it has been about seven days with no ice producing. What do I check next?

Open the fridge access door on the outside of the coach and take a voltmeter and be sure that the ice maker is getting 110v. and make sure the ice maker is plugged in. Someone else may have another idea but after seven days it should be cold enough.

I will have to get back to my motorhome and try that. Any other ideas before I leave my internet connection? My internet here in yosemite is very unpredictable, I will get back to you by tomorrow! It is difficult to get good internet here! but I will take yosemite over a good connection anytime!

Grab a turkey baster and put some water in the ice maker slots. Seems the thing needs to do a cycle to get going sometimes.

On occasion they will freeze up at the inlet area if you leave them on while going down the road and water slops around.

They are tempermental critters. Always cussing mine. Sometimes you have to do a serious defrost of the compartment.
