Dometic Macerator Toilet Installation

We have 2 Dometic 8700 Masterflush toilets in our 2018 Ventana. Both toilets randomly drain all the water from the bowl after flushing. Note: we always use the setting that uses more water and is supposed to fill the bowl after flushing.

We talked to Dometic support and sent them a picture from the back of the toilet (see below). They told us that Newmar didn't install it correctly, that's why we have that problem. Something about the discharge hose sitting too low.

I was wondering if anybody with the same toilet who doesn't experience that problem could post a similar picture for us to compare.

Many thanks in advance,
Dan

I kind of doubt that Newmar installed it wrong, since it comes as a self contained unit. I know in the past people have had an issue with the duck bill valve hanging open and letting the water drain. It's part #15 in the attached diagram and photo.

Here is a pic of mine for comparison. I just replaced my macerator as it was causing a leak on the floorbelow the rubber and macerator mate. Main difference I see is the control box on mine is flat of the floor and your is stuck in the middle.

Thanks for posting the picture. Yeah, the plumbing looks exactly the same and since you don't have any issues with water syphoning out, it shouldn't be the installation.

Locate the duck bill and clean it.
