Dometic Roof Air/Heat pump Blower Motor

[B]Just had my ailing front a/c unit diagnosed as having a bad blower motor.
Tried to call Dometic but CS had already closed. Do they sell individuals parts or does it get out sourced?
Any recommendations on where i may find this? I googled the parts number with little luck. It is probably a 2010 unit on a 2011 Mt. Aire

Thanks Dave

Try Granger company for motor.
The might send you their 300 page catalog. Have all types of electric motors.

What are the symptoms? seems like motor isn't all that old. Does unit have a run capacitor on it? That could be the fault. If the bearings are bad it will do one of two things. It will not turn by hand, or shaft will have side to side movement

dav-cle, My front unit went out about 4 years ago. you should be able to get a motor or run capacitor. The motor is a pain to get out due to the double shaft w/squirrel cage on both ends but can be done.

If it is in fact the motor, you should be able to take it out, take it to a local a/c shop and they could get you a universal one to fit. Likely at half the cost

We turned the heat pump on which did get hot ,but fan never kicked on. A/C compressor comes on but no air is blowing into the inside !

You really should pull the cover and get the part number off of the existing motor. I replaced mine on a Coleman Mach 8. About a one hour job and it's a tight fit, but can be accomplished. I paid approximately $95 for mine. I got it from www.electricmotorwarehouse.com

The tech was on the roof and could feel the heat ( very hot ). The cover was off the unit so he could diagnose , and test for voltage. With him on the roof and me inside close to the thermostat it was evident that the blower was not working.
We got all the numbers off of motor, but am having problems finding the exact match online !

First I would get the numbers off the capacitor and replace it. They are cheap and most of the time that is the failure. I am an a/c tech and 90 per cent the cap goes first. Even if it isn't the cap then you have a cheap second opinion

Had the same problem this last summer. It was the run capacitor. Got it from PPL motorhomes. I was ready to order a new motor kit from them so I know they have them. A tech has to know what he is doing the run capacitor stores a charge , it will give a heck of a jolt if not discharged.
