I worked on my uncle’s this summer where the compressor would randomly quit running (on both zones.) And on occasion we got the same error. I methodically troubleshot, cleaned all modular connections at thermostat and units.
Replaced thermostat, replaced board. Finally discovered a near (not the nearest but near) florescent fixture was generating so much hash it was messing up the digital signals going from stat to units. When the light was turned off, everything worked perfectly. Replaced the fixture guts with LED strips and all is well.
