Dometic Toilet 8700 thank you

For those of you that posted the thread on the Dometic 8700 Toilet red light, thank you.

We pulled into the campground last night. Went to use the bathroom and found the flush button was RED. Indicating full. I was sure that I was no where near full but check the monitor and it showed 29%. No worries, we have full hook-ups so I went and dumped the tanks and flushed them out.

Back in the coach, monitor read 0. But that pesky red light was on and still would not flush. Disconnected the house battery, let it set, and turned it back on. Drat, still red.

Time to hit the forum. Bottom line cut the yellow wire. Starting to feel like Mission Impossible. The yellow wire is in the little black box that registers tank full.

Cut the yellow wire, for now, and all is good.

Again, thanks to all that posted this solution.

Now, back to Freightliner and see if they can get me brake lights, turn signals and dash AC.

Chuck, I added a small toggle switch to that yellow wire and mounted right into the cover of the black box. That way you can still use it as designed and have a switch when it malfunctions.
